Netflix Streaming New Releases July 2015
This month looks like a really good quality month for kids out on school break. They are adding several options being added for kids this month. So if nothing else it should help you keep the little ones entertained.
July 1
Bad Hair Day (2015): Starring Laura Marano, Leigh-Allyn
Baker, and Christian Campbell. With the high school prom fast approaching, tech
wizard Monica Reeves — who's campaigning to be prom queen — prepares her look
carefully in advance. But the plan falls apart when her hair goes rogue and her
entire ensemble is ruined.
Death in Paradise: Season 3 (2014): Starring Ben Miller,
Sara Martins, and Danny John-Jules. A warm, light-hearted detective series
which takes place against a stunning Caribbean island backdrop.
Grandma’s Boy (2006): Starring Allen Covert, Linda Cardellini,
and Kevin Nealon. Even though he's 35, Alex acts more like he's 13, spending
his days as the world's oldest video game tester and his evenings developing
the next big Xbox game. But then he gets kicked out of his apartment and has to
move in with his grandmother.
Monster High: Scaris, City of Frights (2013): When Clawdeen
Wolf gets the chance to apprentice for the legendary fashion designer Madame
Ghostier, she and her best ghoul friends immediately pack their bags and hop on
a plane to beautiful Scaris, France.
Octonauts: Season 3 (2013): A team of brave underwater
explorers known as the Octonauts combs the world's oceans for aquatic creatures
in desperate need of assistance.
Saw V (2008): Starring Tobin Bell, Costas Mandylor, and
Scott Patterson. In this fifth installment of the grisly Saw horror series,
forensics detective Hoffman learns that his secret connection to Jigsaw is
about to be exposed, so he embarks on a hunt to eradicate everything that links
him to the serial killer.
Underworld: Evolution (2006): Starring Kate Beckinsale,
Scott Speedman, and Bill Nighy. Working together to expose the truth about
their bloodlines, vampire warrior Selene and werewolf hybrid Michael learn the
backstory to the ongoing conflict between the patrician Death Dealers and the
barbarous Lycans.
Velvet: Season 2 (2014): Starring Paula Echevarría, Miguel
Ángel Silvestre, and Manuela Velasco. In 1950s Spain, the heir to a fashion
house romances a beautiful seamstress who works for the company, despite the
objections of his family.
July 3
Knights of Sidonia: Season 2 (2014): A hero rises to save a
world that's also a spaceship under siege by an alien threat in this original
anime series based on the popular manga comic.
July 4
Hell on Wheels: Season 4 (2014): Starring Anson Mount, Colm
Meaney, and Common. Former Confederate soldier Cullen Bohannon seeks his wife's
killer as post-Civil War America struggles to rebuild its identity. His quest
traverses the history of Reconstruction, peopled with railroad bosses, emancipated
slaves and immigrants.
White Collar: Season 6 (2014): Starring Matt Bomer, Tim
DeKay, and Willie Garson. To avoid jail, an ultra-suave con man signs on to
help an FBI agent catch other white-collar thieves but he conceals an ulterior
motive.
July 7
Witches of East End: Season 2 (2014): Starring Julia Ormond,
Madchen Amick, and Rachel Boston. Besides being an artist and the mother of two
daughters, Joanna Beauchamp harbors an identity she hides from the world: that
of a centuries-old wtich.
July 9
Serena (2015): Starring Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper,
and Rhys Ifans. As most of America is mired in the Depression, George Pemberton
and his wife, Serena, build a booming timber business together. But the family
legacy becomes a knotty issue after Serena learns that she's barren — and
George has an illegitimate son.
July 10
Chris Tucker Live (2015): Filmed in his hometown of Atlanta,
Chris Tucker showcases his stand-up comedic chops as he shares his experiences
from childhood to the big time.
July 14
Creep - Netflix Exclusive (2014): Starring Mark Duplass and
Patrick Brice. After spotting an online ad for a one-day gig in a distant town,
a cash-strapped videographer figures he has nothing to lose and takes the job.
But as the hours wear on, he finds that the client has some unsettling ideas in
mind.
Goodbye to All That (2014): Starring Paul Schneider, Melanie
Lynskey, and Heather Graham. Blindsided by his wife's desire for a divorce,
Otto Wall must try to refashion his life in a confusing new world of dating
that includes social media. But while the sex comes easily for Otto, meaningful
relationships don't.
The Killer Speaks: Season 2 (2014): Actual convicted
murderers — including spree killers, serial killers and domestic violence
killers — describe their crimes in bone-chilling detail.
July 15
H2O: Mermaid Adventures: Season 2 (2015): Three high school
friends who turn into mermaids whenever they touch water have undersea
adventures while keeping their new life a secret.
Penguins of Madagascar: The Movie (2014): Starring Benedict
Cumberbatch, John Malkovich, and Peter Stormare. Having shown their mettle in
previous Madagascar animated epics, dauntless penguins Skipper, Rico, Private
and Kowalski team with a covert group, the North Wind, to stage an
all-or-nothing showdown with the fiendish Dr. Octavius Brine.
July 16
Changeling (2008): Starring Angelina Jolie, John Malkovich,
and Jeffrey Donovan. Christine Collins is overjoyed when her kidnapped son is
brought back home. But when Christine suspects that the boy returned to her
isn't her child, she begins to challenge the authorities and the police captain
has her committed to an asylum.
July 17
BoJack Horseman: Season 2 (2015): Starring Will Arnett, Amy
Sedaris, and Alison Brie. Back in the 1990s, half-equine, half-human BoJack
Horseman was the star of a hit sitcom, but he's fallen on hard times. He has
big plans for a comeback, though, beginning with the publishing of his tell-all
showbiz memoir.
Tig (2015): Comedian Tig Notaro announced her cancer
diagnosis at what became a legendary stand-up set in 2012. Follow her search
for humor amid devastating news.
July 18
Glee: Season 6 (2015): Starring Lea Michele, Chris Colfer,
and Jane Lynch. Amid relationship woes and personal attacks from a wicked
cheerleading coach, a teacher fights to turn underdog glee club members into
winners.
July 25
The Guest (2014): Starring Dan Stevens, Maika Monroe, and
Brendan Meyer. When a stranger named David shows up at the Peterson family home
and says he's a friend of their late son Caleb, who recently died in combat,
they welcome him into their lives. But Caleb's sister soon doubts that David is
the man he claims to be.
July 28
Marvel’s Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.: Season 2 (2014):
Marvel's mightiest superheroes — Hulk, She-Hulk, Red Hulk, A-Bomb, and Skaar —
team up to tackle threats too enormous for other heroes to handle.
July 30
Almost Mercy (2015): Starring Bill Mosely, Kane Hodder, and
Nick Principe. Best friends since their troubled childhoods, Jackson and Emily
are high school classmates when Emily comes to realize that Jackson's behavior
is becoming more violent, forcing her to decide whether to warn others about
his dangerous state of mind.
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: Season 5 (2015):
Journey to the enchanted land of Equestria, where unicorn Twilight Sparkle and
her pals have adventures and learn valuable lessons about friendship.
July 31
Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp (2015): Starring
Janeane Garofalo, David Hyde Pierce, and Michael Showalter. It's the first day
of camp in this outrageous prequel to the hilarious 2001 cult classic movie.
And at Camp Firewood, anything can happen.
Turbo FAST: Season 2 (2015): Join Turbo and his posse, the
Fast Action Stunt Team. Filled with comedy, action, and fun, this series amps
it up to the extreme.
